A proposed load shedding mechanism for enhancing intentional-islanding dynamics of distribution systems

2017 Nineteenth International Middle East Power Systems Conference (MEPCON) 19 December 2017 – 21 December 2017 · Al-Azhar Conference Center, Cairo, Egypt

Research overview

The paper proposes a load-shedding mechanism to support the dynamics of intentional islanding in distribution systems. It addresses the need to reduce demand when an island no longer has sufficient generation to supply its connected load.

Research context

This is the earlier conference contribution in my work on intentional islanding. The MEPCON 2018 paper continues the load-shedding research.
